The microphone word has actually come from two Greek words, micro small and phone meaning voice. Microphone story began with the telephone transmitter, which was developed by Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray simultaneously.
The first microphone can be called a resistance device variable. I had a mouthpiece, which was funnel shaped and diaphragm membrane stretches. The diaphragm of the membrane was the base of the nozzle. A metal cup used to be there just below the diaphragm. A metal pin used to go right through the cup diaphragm. There was a diluted acid in the cup. The resistance of review sample with an ohmmeter, which was located between the shaft and the cup. If the diaphragm moves, then the pin also moves up and down with the liquid. And this makes that the resistance vary accordingly. This microphone is a microphone with cable.
In 1900, the telephone transmitter was the only type of microphone that is available. Several new types of microphones came after increasing power of radio. Multiple microphones are used in those days. They used to have a single nozzle.
Lt Ditchman began another system. He ran a series of microphones in a position and rotation intervals. He did it to avoid overheating. However, these multiple microphones had some drawbacks. One of the most serious problems was that if one of the microphones in front of a short circuit problem, then quickly spread to others. Rudolph Goldschmidt patented a circuit later solved this problem.
In 1879-81, Edison and Dolbear invented condenser transmitter. Previously we did for the phone, so it was not very good for microphones. But later was redesigned and fit for them.
In 1906, Fessenden invented two microphones that were able to handle 15 amps of current and also without burning. One was the type of capacitor and the other one of them was water-cooled type of carbon granules.
These are all wired microphones. But as time passed, began wired microphone to be a little problematic for people. People wanted something that the user will be easier and give them some added facilities. To meet that need wireless microphones were invented.
In 1951 John. F. Stephens had a wireless microphone. In fact, he did a musical fleet. In that show, every player and singer was given a piece each.
The German manufacturer of audio equipment called Senheisser exhibited this tool. A German named equipment manufacturer Beyerdynamic Hung.C.Lin claimed that invented the first wireless microphone. They also claimed that a film entitled 'My Fair Lady' is first used this type of microphone in 1964. Rex Harrison was the actor who first used this.
