Soothing Moments

His life is too hectic. The List is long enough for four people multitasking and no relief in sight. How do you get a little peace and experience joy when you are struggling to keep up with the constant demands of your life?

Like most people, any of the areas of my life could be considered a full time job. I am president of a company that helps people file memory and legacy document personal. I am also a wife and mother of two daughters. I am also a civic citizen, father of the active school, and supportive friend. I enjoy all the papers, but I do a conscious effort to create a space in my life and enjoy the ride. Years ago, it was not until I realized how fleeting life is that I vowed to enjoy every minute of the same.

The loss I have experienced in my life has made me very aware of the gift of each day. During my first year in college, my father was diagnosed with cancer. Proud and trying to graduate, my father and I would write back and forth to each other as I finished my studies. By sheer force of will, he boarded a plane to see me graduate. It was one of the last things he did, a month after his death. What I did not realize naive as a year 18 years into college by first time what life was really very fleeting.

Realizing the preciousness of life many years ago, I vowed to live life consciously. I feel glad to be alive and every day we try to do the following, which helped me along my journey. I hope these tips will help you too:

Top Three tips for living in the moment

1. First to say Thanks - My first thought and the first words of my mouth in the morning is thank you. I thank God to wake up and for sending me throughout my journey in the mind, body and spirit. Thanks to who or whatever their source, their own deity, Mother Earth, the Universe or nature. Expressing gratitude helps us to live in the moment and opens the way for more blessings.

2. The power of breath and silence - the silence is the best tool for connecting us to our spirits immediately. Amid the turmoil, confusion or anger, if converted immediately into silence and breathe, you create a space for healing. It is not always easy, but if we tried, he calmed down and can act from a place of love.

3. Notice the small things - Sometimes life can seem so urgent, but when we live consciously, it puts everything in perspective and priority. To notice the little things means we have to stop, try to do one thing at a time and be present. When we do, it's easier to be grateful instead of feeling overwhelmed and really live the blessing today.

I have found these tips to be invaluable in guiding me down a path to greater peace, tranquility and joy. I'm still guilty of impatience, perfectionist trends and discomfort on the side of any learning curve. But while I work on those things, try to participate fully in the life consciously. I like the warmth of a Shared evening, keeping the center of the swelling of the hands of my little son and diving into the deep well of my inner joy.

The Task List will not disappear and the hectic pace of modern life will dissipate. It depends on us to create the space in each moment what you notice the details that give true meaning to our lives. The alternative is that life without joy, we will. To create your own inner calm despite what is happening around them, slow down, stay at the time and vote live in the present it is today.
